Who Is Eligible?
We are currently recruiting individuals who have been diagnosed with any form of Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy. Family members—either with or without epilepsy symptoms—are also invited to participate because they provide useful comparative data.
We are unable to accept patients with the following symptoms into our study: partial or focal seizures, mental retardation, severe psychiatric disorders, disorders of the central nervous system or a history of severe substance abuse, drop attacks, or epilepsy caused by head trauma.
